Queen Rania Al-Abdullah is the wife of King Abdullah II of Jordan. She is also a well known Women's Rights Activist. She was ranked as the most beautiful consort  in the world by Harpers and Queen magazine in 2011. She is also the author of  The Sandwich  Swap. This book went to the top of the New York Times Bestseller list in 2010.

Queen Rania and her family was forced to flee from Kuwait during the first Gulf War of 1991. Rania and her family with thousands of other Palestinian families left Kuwait and resettled in Amman, capital of Jordan. Rania completed her university studies in Amman. She met King Abdullah at a function and later in June 1993, they got married.


Queen Rania's youth, high profile status and glamorous beauty instantly made her an international icon. She is now a prominent Middle East leader with millions of followers on social media. She is also keen on games and sports, and chairs the Jordanian Water Sports Federation. Queen Rania is very close to people, and has a good understanding of their problems.
